WOYWW 211

Is it just me or do the days between WOYWW get shorter and shorter? Maybe not as my desk looks slightly different this week!
Colouring pages in my Moleskine in preparation for my holiday

Torn page so taped up (happy face!)
Blotty page ( I have an idea for this one)
Yep! I've been well and truly Dyan'ed!
That's all for now Peeps!
Thanks for looking xx

WOYWW 210

I've got all my ATCs and they are super wonderful:
From left to right (and up and down): Scrappymo, Kezzy, Maisie and Barf! Thank you!! I thought a couple of cards looked a bit subdued against my background so chose another (background that is!):
Gorgeous embossed shimmery Seahorse from Mo (Photo just doesn't do it justice - trust me. there's stamping, embossing, decoupage, colouring, shimmer. Love it ScrappyMo!
I love Kezzie's too! I got a hand-made crochet heart!
Maisie's is Vintage at it's best! It's got my favourite dragonflies and Lace)
I love the neutral colours!(I've got a rug that matches your colours perfectely)
And finally, Joel's ATC
My favourite distress paints! All on one ATC!
Thank you all for my ATCs!
I love them and will treasure them!

And on my desk this week:
I've been playing with Martha Stewart Clay thingy stuff!! You definitely need the white but it was totally not available in the UK! It's on Create and Craft TV now! And Yes. I've been 'Dyan Reaveley'ed'

And loved it!
Tat ta for now peeps!

It's WOYWW 208 and Swap Time!! Yee Ha and Woop Woop!!

Happy 4th Anniversary to all WOYWW'ers everywhere and a special greeting to Julia for coming up with the idea 4 years ago!! It's a legitimate excuse to be nosey!! (and I'm always surprised that I haven't necessarily got the messiest desk!!)

What's on mine this week apart from the usual chaos? My Hubs' birthday card (slight cheat I'll admit! He got it on Monday so I've moved it back to my desk for the photo but it was there. Honest!)
I made the letters from coloured UTEE poured into the Martha Stewart Alpha moulds followed by a touch of Treasure Gold (ooh I love that stuff!).  A bit fiddly as they are quite small but if you work quickly you can 'swipe' the excess UTEE off and then trim the thin bits that are left.  I think I might stick to using them with the Crafter's Clay!!
And the Stamps that I used are still on the desk (genuinely!).  Towards the bottom right is an idea for my Dad's birthday card - checking whether the little UTEE frame would work with part of a Stampers Anonymous stamp.  This will probably be on next weeks WOYWW! (Watch this space for the altered tins - they will reappear one day!)
And to finish, a straight view!  Who said you can't put feathers on a Man's card!  I like the way they hide bits of the image and sentiment. Ah, not sure if this allowed - please tell me off if it's not but I'd like to enter this card in the Sunday Stampers Challenge - Week 258 - Some Like it Hot

That's all from me peeps as I'm off visiting desks and to see who I will be swapping with (excited!)
Bye bye from me xxx

WOYWW 205

In short...a mess!  I haven't actually got a photo of my desk this week so I'm sharing my 'experiments' with doodling (ok, Zentangle if you're posh!).  These are also ATC auditionees for the ATC swap coming up (as you can probably tell from the subtle 'WOYWW' placement!).
I rather like Mr Origami Squirrel

I've decided these qualify for WOYWW as they were photo'd on my 'old' desk, aka the dining room table!  I was back on the dining room table because there wasn't an ATC shaped space on my proper desk (wasn't joking when I said it was a mess!!!).  Anyhoos, short and sweet for me this week!
Thanks for looking - I'm offski to look at other WOYWWs!

Happy WOYWW peeps!!
Bye bye from me xx

WOYWW 203

Wednesday already! Yikes!
First is a completed birthday card for a (male) friend's  40th made using Donna's stamp.  I think Donna needs to design a similar stamp with a man's face!  The Stampers Anonymous numbers were stamped semi-randomly on to tissue papers using a Brilliance ink pad with silver, bronze and black inks in the one pad. This layer was added to the brown card stock using Glue 'n' Seal.  The tissue paper stretched slightly so the card has (age-related?) wrinkles!!

Then my semi-finished books of ruination!  I'm so pleased with how these turned out that I'm taking my time in thinking of how to finish the sides and interiors.....

Following my al fresco crafting day in the sun on Sunday I have a quarter of the dining room table as a work desk again!  The beginnings of my 'Rock My Book'  (they are halfway to making it back on to my proper desk!!)

And finally...........................

Ta-Dah!! The OH's contribution!  He really is a clever old stick!  Really beginning to take shape now.

Anyway, thank you for looking!  I'm off to look at some WOYWWs!

Ooh Just remembered.....Please can I enter the card for:

Bye bye from me x

WOYWW

Wednesday again!  So that means only one thing - it's time to blog the woeful state of my work desk!!  It's a bit of a family affair this week as my OH has taken over the end of the dining room table.  Here's his contribution......(that jar contains his 'biscuits'.  Personally I prefer digestives lol!)
Yes - he's been progressing the monster CD rack!  The clamps are holding American White Oak beading to the front edge while the glue goes off.  The sides have also been clad in the same oak...absolutely beautiful!  (Note to self:  shorten the voile at the window please!)
And here's my desk!  I'm still working on the Books of Ruination!  Also some altered books - I've got 4 on the go now - the products of 5 workshops with Jennie
The Earl Grey Tin and Saxa Salt paint brush holder are also waiting for a bit of alteration attention!  I'm thinking perhaps some gorgeous G45 paper for the salt tub.....

....and yes, I'm still using my trusty tray as a portable desk!  It just keeps everything a bit more in control and just happens to be the same size as the large heat resistant mat!!

See you next Wednesday with hopefully a finished Book of Ruination or 3!!

Thanks for looking and bye bye from me x

WOYWW

I said it would happen!  I said I would post!

'Old' work desk.... (still almost a WOYWW as that's my husband's latest make in the background - it's a cabinet he's building to hold our music system and 600 CDs!!)

And new room of stashly things!!!

The three boxes are my 'Book of Ruination' project and OMG - I love the 'alien skin' technique! (Thank you Andy Skinner!) The stamps are out because I'm also making a birthday card for a friend (why work on one thing when you can work on 4??)  I've also spotted another book waiting to be altered lurking in the bottom left corner!

Right, I'm off to look at some WOYWWs!

Bye bye from me!
